The history of Torremaggiore is linked to that of the Benedictine monastery ‘Terrae Maioris’ and the medieval town, now an archaeological site, of Castel Fiorentino (or Fiorentino di Puglia), the ruins of which are about 10 km from the town and are where Emperor Frederick II of Swabia stayed, wrote his will and later died.

- guided tour of the CHURCH OF ST. ANNE and the ``BURNT CHRIST``, whose history is linked to the famous ‘Veiled Christ’, which is kept in the Sansevero Chapel in Naples;
- guided tour of the ancient church, CHIESA MATRICE DI SAN NICOLA;
- guided walk through the ancient VILLAGE OF CODACCHIO, whose history is linked to the town of Fiorentino di Puglia, and the arrival of the exiles after its destruction following the death of Frederick II of Swabia;
- access to and guided tour of the FIORENTINO DI PUGLIA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE.
